Boys' Brigade Chess Club
  • Open to both boys and girls of Primary School age and above
  • Learn the rules of chess - use our web pages to help you
  • Learn to improve your game or simply enjoy playing.
  • Can you beat our Chess computer?

The BB Chess Club is open to children of Primary School age and above. They do not have to be members of the Boys' Brigade and girls are welcome. Our first meeting will be on Wednesday, 3rd September 6.30–7.30pm in the Upper Room of the Leckie Bake Hall. Find us»

We meet at the same time throughout the school term but we do not meet during school holidays.

We recognise that some children will simply want to enjoy playing Chess but we offer the opportunity for them to learn and improve their game. We have just bought a Chess Computer which runs teaching programs and we hope this will be popular.

Anyone interested is welcome to just come along but if you are not already a member of the group it would be helpful if you could phone David Lumley 01721 723 225 so we could have an idea of how many are coming.

Have a look at the other pages on the website. They are mainly about the rules of the game but if you already know how to play there is something to help you improve.

If you have trouble downloading the material or you would like something more to help you please contact the number above. More material can be sent on disk, by email or on paper.
